On 67th Republic Day of India, I'm thinking of all veterans who have served this great country.

My grandfather Bhagwant Deshmukh participated in Quit India Movement with M K Gandhi. Along with many freedom fighters, he was imprisoned for years by ruling British. I'm so proud to be his grandson.

People in that generation sacrificed their lives to ensure we live in free country. Freedom comes at the cost of their lives; we should not forget this.

Now it is upon us to make this earth better place to live and maintain world peace so future generations could live better lives.
