When Ideas Start Avoiding You

Lately, everything feels like a loop. I miss seeing the world with fresh eyes — maybe the ideas aren’t gone, just hiding.

Some days, I read something so good, I feel worse after.
Not because it was wrong. But because it was too right.
It had clarity. It had soul. It had that thing — fresh eyes, a weird angle, a twist I didn’t see coming.

And I sit there thinking… when did I last feel like that?

I don’t know when it started. But lately, everything feels like a loop. Thoughts I’ve already had. Words I’ve already said. I open my notebook, and even the blank page looks bored.

I miss being surprised by life.

Not the big surprises — not birthdays or disasters. I mean the small ones. Like seeing a kid invent a game out of a plastic bottle cap. Or hearing an old uncle casually drop a life lesson while buying tomatoes.

That’s what I want back — a fresh perspective. New angles. Unused metaphors.

But it’s hard to see the world differently when you feel the same every day.
So today, I’m not going to chase big ideas.

Today, I’m just going to stare at something ordinary — a street, a spoon, an old WhatsApp group — and wait. Just wait. Until something weird, funny, or painfully true peeks out from under the usual.

Because I think the ideas aren’t gone. I think they’re just hiding.
And maybe… they’re waiting for me to stop trying so hard.
